Boom N’ Brew didn’t start as a café idea — it started as a dream of what daytime at The Boom Boom Room could be.

For over a decade, Jim and Brandy Callahan have built The Boom Boom Room into one of the most celebrated burlesque venues in the country. Night after night, they’ve created unforgettable experiences rooted in joy, escape, creativity, and connection. But as the lights came down at the end of each show, one question kept coming up:

Why should the magic only exist at night?

Boom N’ Brew was originally imagined as a daytime extension of that same spirit — a place for espresso, community, and creativity in the heart of downtown St. Louis. We opened with big ideas and a lot of heart… but quickly learned that something was missing.

We tried opening without food.
And it just wasn’t the experience we knew it could be.

At the same time, life threw us a curveball. Health challenges forced us to slow down, step back, and make a hard decision — to close temporarily instead of rushing forward half-ready.

That pause changed everything.

Instead of reopening quickly, we chose to rebuild intentionally. To take the time to design the café we always wanted — not just coffee, but a full menu, all-day brunch, breakfast and lunch done right, and a space that feels welcoming, relaxed, and a little indulgent.

Boom N’ Brew today is the result of that reset.

Now reopened with a full scratch-made food menu, Boom N’ Brew is a place where brunch has no curfew, espresso is taken seriously, and comfort food is elevated without being pretentious. Whether you’re sitting down to eat, grabbing something to go, or getting ready for food delivery, everything we serve is designed to fit real life — and real appetites.

By day, it’s a café filled with energy, creativity, and great food.
By night, just beyond hidden doors, the world-famous Boom Boom Room comes alive.

We didn’t rush this reopening.
